VARO refines, stores and distributes (bio)fuels for the European market and has been a major player in the area of blending and trading sustainable biofuels for more than 10 years. VARO has an ambitious strategy to become a leading player in the European energy transition. It has numerous international projects, inter alia in the areas of hydrogen, biogas, electricity, carbon trading and renewable and sustainable biofuels. The company intends to grow high speed in the coming years. In order to further strengthen the legal team, we are seeking to recruit two new team members.
Legal Counsel M&A
based in Rotterdam or Zug (Switzerland)

In this role you are a member of the cross country M&A team. Together with the Senior Legal Counsel M&A you are responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating of purchase agreements and other legal documents, such as offer letters, NDAs, MOUs, LOI’s, SPAs, shareholders’ agreements, joint venture agreements. You provide support to and are a sparring partner for the business and you play an important role in the company’s ambition to become a leading player in the European energy transition.
Profile
- qualified lawyer with approximately 4-7 years of work experience u experience with M&A
- good drafting and project management skills
- experience with the energy sector is a plus, but not a prerequisite
- flexible, down to earth and cross-cultural communicational skills
- fluent in English
